Sevilla’s sports director Munch talked about the scandal between Comte and Manchester City in an interview. He revealed that they received an offer from a Premier League club of more than 50 million euros, but after an evaluation, they still chose Rejected.
"Comte is a very professional player, I have never doubted his performance." Munch said in an interview.
"We received an offer from the UK, we evaluated it and ultimately rejected it, because although this offer is twice the transfer fee (25 million euros) we invested in Comte 12 months ago More than that, but we still think this offer is not enough."
"If there are more offers, we will continue to evaluate. We are not afraid to sell players, because this has been our model for the past 20 years. Selling players and then letting the club continue to improve, but we want to sell players at important prices. Only in this way can we use the money to sign new players that can improve our lineup."
